The Early Intervention Partners Training Project

Northeast Region Sessions consist of:

Session I: Saturday, April 11, 2026 (9:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.) Live interactive Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) Functional Outcomes Webinar (participate from home on a personal computer or mobile device)

Session II: Friday, April 17, 2026 (4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.) and Saturday, April 18, 2026 (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) Two-day, in-person training to be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Albany Airport, 800 Albany Shaker Road, Albany, NY 12211 .

Participants attending both in person days have an option for a free overnight stay Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn Albany Airport, 800 Albany Shaker Road, Albany, NY 12211 on a roommate basis (double occupancy). Participants MUST let us know if planning to stay overnight by our registration deadline on April 2, 2026.

Each county/municipality has a Local Early Intervention Coordinating Council (LEICC) comprised of parents and professionals. The purpose of the LEICC is to advise the municipality's Early Intervention Official about local early intervention issues, such as gaps in services.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)- “Learn the Signs. Act Early.” Campaign

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has developed a program called “Learn the Signs. Act Early.” This program improves early identification of children with developmental delays and disabilities by promoting parent-engaged developmental monitoring and facilitating early action on concerns. This initiative encourages parents and providers to learn the signs of healthy development, monitor every child’s early development, and take action when there is a concern. The program offers free checklists and other tools to make developmental monitoring practical and easy.

Among the tools this program offers are free developmental checklists, a Milestone Tracker App, a milestone moments booklet, free children’s books, tips sheets, training resources and customizable promotional materials, to name a few.
